Bottle of Burn 01 sparkling wine with astronaut label lying on rough volcanic rock.

Origin Story

Thirty-five years ago, we got our hands on decommissioned stainless steel rocket fuel tanks to age our wines.

The Result?

Our very first sparkling wine, and it’s truly out of this world! Introducing Burn 01 Sparkling white wine, bursting with notes of peach, lemon, and grapefruit. Enjoy it chilled, straight up, or mixed into a refreshing spritz. Cheers to a cosmic experience!

The tanks

A set of stainless-steel liquid oxygen tanks built for the U.S. space program found an unexpected second life. Rather than being discarded, they were salvaged and transformed into sparkling wine tanks, beginning a new chapter far from the launch pad. Originally engineered to perform under extreme pressure, these extraordinary vessels remain at the heart of Burn 01 today. Their massive stainless-steel construction provides exceptional stability throughout the sparkling winemaking process, helping deliver the precision and consistency behind every bottle. The result is sparkling wine that’s truly out of this world.
